Q How much is champagne delivery?
A Champagne delivery to the UK mainland (except the Highlands) is £7.50 including VAT per 15 kg (usually up to 7 bottles) in addition to the product prices. Delivery charges are calculated within the order process and depend upon the total weight of the products, the destination and the service chosen. The delivery charge is clearly shown on your order summary before you complete your order. The shopping basket total only shows product prices excluding delivery charges. For more information on delivery and pricing, visit our champagne delivery page.
Q Do you offer discounts?
A For orders of 10 or more items, we offer discounts. Please contact us.
Q When will my champagne gift be delivered?
A This depends upon when you place your order and which country and delivery service you choose during the order process. Your estimated delivery date is shown during the order process as well as in your email order confirmation. If you place your order before our cut-off time (normally 4pm on working days) your order will be processed and despatched that day. For orders placed after the cut-off time, your order will be processed and despatched on the next working day. Our standard service level is a next working day service for the UK mainland except the Highlands.
Q What happens if the recipient is out at the time of delivery?
A Our carriers will knock on the door/ring the bell and if no one answers they will leave with a neighbour (if they have time) or leave safe (if that has been instructed). Otherwise, they will take the parcel back to the local depot and attempt delivery the next working day. We highly recommend you supply the mobile number of the recipient at the time of order - if this is supplied the carrier will text the recipient early on the day of delivery with an estimated timeslot for delivery - the text also gives the recipient options to leave safe, leave with a neighbour, collect from a local pickup shop or to select an alternative delivery date. If the gift is a surprise, do not worry, the text will only tell the recipient a parcel is being delivered by our carrier on behalf of Just Champagne. After two unsuccessful attempts, the parcel can be returned to us, and we will then have to charge for a re-delivery.
Q Can you deliver champagne gifts outside the UK?
A We deliver one bottle gifts (2 kg weight) to the USA. Large format bottles (Methuselah and above) can only be delivered to UK mainland. For non UK deliveries, a mobile number for the recipient in the destination country is mandatory.
Q Can I choose my delivery date?
A A delayed delivery date is only available for UK mainland destinations and only for dates in the current or following month. At delivery date, click on the calendar icon and select your delivery date.
Q Do you offer a same-day delivery service?
A We can deliver same day by special arrangement. Our champagne gifts are stored at our warehouse in Surrey, and therefore the delivery charge will reflect mileage from Dorking. Same-day delivery charges start at £20 for local deliveries.
Q Do you deliver on weekends?
A For most UK mainland destinations, we can deliver on Saturdays for an additional charge. We do not schedule deliveries on Sundays or public holidays.
Q Does someone need to sign for the champagne gift when they are delivered?
A We deliver to business and home addresses. For business addresses, a signature is required. For UK mainland home addresses, if the champagne gift value is over £100 then a signature is required, if less than this, then you may select the leave safe option at your own risk. This means the driver will leave the consignment in a suitable, safe place and put a card through the door explaining the location. For all other areas, a signature is required for all deliveries.
Q How do I place an order for delivery to multiple addresses?
A Our order process is not designed to handle multiple delivery addresses. To place orders for up to three delivery addresses, we suggest you place three separate orders. For more than three addresses, please contact our customer services team, who will assist you.
Q Do you deliver to PO boxes or BFPO addresses?
A We do not deliver to PO or BFPO addresses.
Q Does a receipt go with the champagne gift?
A No paperwork with pricing is included with the champagne gift. An order confirmation is sent by email to the customer.
Q Do I get a VAT receipt?
A Shortly after you place your order online, you will automatically receive an emailed order confirmation which has a link to your VAT receipt.
Q Do you pass my details on to other companies?
A We only use your details within our own company and with partners such as our carrier and payment provider to fulfill your order. We do not sell or pass on your details to other companies for marketing purposes.
Q Can I track my order?
A On the day we send out your order, you will receive an email which has details of your consignment number and our carrier. Use these details to track your consignment on the date it is due for delivery. If you find a problem with your consignment please contact our customer service team.
Q Do you supply own label champagne?
A We can supply our house champagne with your own label in full colour. The minimum order is 12 bottles. Please contact us for pricing.
Q Is there such a thing as vegetarian champagne?
A During the fining process used to clarify the champagne, some agents that contain animal products may be used. Egg white or a similar milk-based product can be used, which is acceptable to vegetarians. For vegans, an inert clay or similar natural substance can be used.
Q Do you supply quarter or half bottles of champagne?
A We supply cases of quarter (20cl) or half bottles (37.5cl) by special arrangement. Please contact us for details. For case orders, quarters come in cases of 24 and halves in cases of 12, with a minimum order of 2 cases.
Q How do I store champagne?
A Bottles are best stored on their sides in dark, cool, dry conditions with no vibrations and no strong smells. The ideal temperature is 10-12 degrees centigrade.
Q How do I serve champagne?
A The ideal serving temperature is 7-9 degrees centigrade. The recommended chilling method is to immerse the bottle in a bucket filled with equal measures of ice and water for 30 minutes. Alternatively, leave in the fridge for 3-4 hours. Do not put champagne in the freezer - if it's an emergency, leave only for 10 minutes - don't forget it's there!
Q How much is my bottle of champagne worth?
A The price of a bottle depends very much on how it has been stored as well as the vintage and brand. Unless you can prove to a prospective buyer that it has been stored correctly, then it may be difficult to sell your bottle. For further advice, contact us.
Q How long can I keep a bottle of champagne?
A All champagne is designed to be consumed when purchased, although this may not be the time for its optimum condition. Generally, Non-Vintage champagne should be stored for no more than 3 years. Vintage champagne may be kept for up to 15 years, and exceptional vintage champagnes for longer. All formats except standard bottles (75cl), Magnums and Jeroboams should be consumed within one year of purchase. The optimum format for long-term storage is the Magnum.
Q When is your office open?
A Just Champagne office hours are 9.30am to 5:30pm on Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
Q Can I visit your premises?
A Generally, we are unable to receive customers at our offices. If you do wish to visit, please contact us first.
