Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Vintage – This vintage champagne where only the cuvée is used is produced from 18 crus with 100% barrel fermentation. The R.D. is an ‘extra brut’ so the dosage is very low. This year was an exceptional year - only the best vintages are elevated to the level of Bollinger R.D. and then aged for a minimum of 8 years and up to 20-25 years on its sediment. This extra ageing allows a more subtle aroma of the champagne to fully develop and guarantees a highly original style. Aromas of marzipan, apricots and honey and bergamot. On the palate citrus and peach flavours along with fresh hazelnuts with a long finish. A blend of 71% Pinot Noir and 29% Chardonnay.
