Joseph Mellot Pouilly-Fumé Grande Cuveé des Edvins - Loire Valley, France – This winery was founded in 1513 by Pierre Etienne Mellot, a regional pioneer who believed in the huge potential of the Loire’s central vineyards. Vinification and aging for a minimum of 12 months takes place in the old cellars in the heart of Sancerre. Delicate and complex aromas with notes of hazelnuts and exotic fruits like pineapple and fresh flavours with mineral notes. Ideal with grilled and roasted white meats, fish and shellfish, prawn risotto, salads and mild creamy cheeses. Produced with 100% Sauvignon Blanc from vines of 30 years old. A vegetarian wine.
