Chapoutier Sicamor Crozes Hermitage – Rhône, France – This wine is organic and from an AOC region, harvested by hand and produced with 100% Syrah. Aged for 12 months in the barrel, then a further 6 months in tanks. Dark black hues with crimson tints. Aromas of spice (black pepper, cloves) and blackberries. Deep flavours yet light with velvety tannins on the palate. Finishing with black fruit notes with a hint of cedar. Great with spicy beef and lentils. Serve at 17-18°C. Ageing: 10 to 15 years.
