Marcon Muscat St Jean de Minervois Petit Grain – Minervois, France – A fortified sweet wine from the Domaine Marcon in Barroubio situated at the southern end of the Massif Central. The cooler climate and the soil here makes the wines more complex and delicate than other Languedoc Muscats and closer in style to the ‘Muscat de Beaumes de Venise’. A light, sweet wine with intense aromatic and floral aromas with lychee and mandarin orange flavours. On the palate it is sweet, rich and powerful with a balancing zesty acidity and long finish. Serve chilled at 12 degrees. Great with chocolate desserts or be enjoyed alone as an aperitif.
